About Tempo Radio

London the summer of 2007,  Temporadio.co.uk was born out of a cry for a radio station that was much needed to fulfil the demand for a sufficient diet of real Caribbean music and culture to the community.

COMMUNITY: We collaborate with our community to create an environment that respects all people and cultures by encouraging awareness and community involvement.

INDEPENDENCE: We are a unique voice, giving access to perspectives and music that are often excluded from traditional media.

DIVERSITY: We represent diverse cultural perspectives that encourage progressive dialogue and respect for the differences and similarities among us.

By complimenting but not duplicating what is offered by other media, Tempo Radio  offers a look into our nation's cultures, ideologies and concerns - exposing citizens to views of life unlikely to be seen in the traditional media. And, importantly, Tempo facilitates dialogue between those citizens who might not otherwise interact.

Focusing on our community through radio excellence we will create a unique community resource, one that promotes connections and fosters a sense of belonging.

We will maintain a local focus for sharing music, arts, culture, news and opinions. We will serve the people of our community by providing outlets for their creative skills and energies.

Serving the interests of a diverse group of listeners Tempo radio seeks to entertain, stimulate and challenge listeners with wide-ranging music programming, local news, issues and public affairs.

We strive to be a forum for many voices, by providing an outlet for the expression of a wide spectrum of ideas; targeting those typically lacking media access.
