Skarpyon

Vincentian native, born Shernelle Williams but internationally known as Skarpyon, is a melodic and lyrical prodigy.

Skarpyon has been singing most of his life and has carved a niche for himself on the musical arena singing genres which include Calypso, Soca and Vincentian own Ragga Soca. His musical roots were nurtured by the most traditional form of Caribbean music, Calypso. Skarpyon made his first public performance in 1990 at the tender age of 11 where he competed in the junior Calypso competition.

Three years later Skarpyon joined the National Youth Band of St. Vincent and the Grenadines as the lead vocalist. This opportunity proved very beneficial to his future developing his skills as an entertainer/musician.

In 2004, Skarpyon performed a song entitled On Fire in the Ragga Soca competition held in St Vincent and the Grenadines. He emerged the victor.
