Multi talented Rachel Christie determined to conquer the world.

At just 20 years old, London born Rachel Christie has recently been crowed Miss London. Born to Jamaican/Hungarian parents its clear to see why she is in the top running to win Miss England. If successful she will go on to compete in Miss World South Africa in December.

It’s refreshing to see women competing and winning in beauty contests as such that finally represents women of colour in this country, not only is Rachel stunning but she is already a highly ranked athlete at 400 meters and in heptathlon. Her biggest aspirations will be to compete and win gold in the upcoming 2012 Olympic Games.

For all of you who had not figured out already, Rachel Christie is also the niece of former Olympic champion Linford Christie, so it’s no wonder why her uncle, who won gold in the 100 meters at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona and the World Championships in Stuttgart in 1993, is her inspiration.

Rachel currently trains six days a week at the Linford Christie Stadium in Hammersmith. You’ll find her training alongside Brother James, who is also an athlete. Coached by Linford Christie himself!

Rachel seems like a very determined young woman, wishing her success in whatever she does.
