90 Degrees, The Carnival ConcertPosted: 19th Aug 2010 Next week will see an impressive line up of Soca, Dancehall and just confirmed Funky House artists come together in London for a one off Nottinghill Carnival special. Next Level Poison UK will be hosting 90 Degrees, part of PoisonUK’s 2010 theme for its summer season of events “Boiling Point” the Carnival Concert has been Scheduled for Friday 27th August at the Troxy, London. The show’s headliner will be Busy Signal, the Jamaican Dancehall sensation will lead the line up and this will be his first UK performance for 2010. Alongside Busy Signal other acts that have been confirmed are chart topping Soca act KES the Band, Barbadian act Lil Rick, St Vincent singer Skinny Fabulous and Grenadian Tallpree, Trinidadian Road March Queen Fay Ann Lyons and Shal Marshal. UK born artist, Donaeo will be flying the flag for Funky House and performing his recently remixed hit song "Party Hard" For the first time there will be a variety of artists flying in from all over the world, and on stage there will be three different genres as never seen before. It would seem as though Next Level Poison UK realises there is an importance in bringing Soca as a live music scene, and there is a niche market currently in the UK, but are they doing the right thing with introducing other genres to the stage when Carnival Concerts have in the past solely been about Soca? Are Soca revellers ready to share the stage with Dancehall and Funky House? I will be reporting back after the concert to let you know how it went down. So come back for photographs, reports of the night and maybe even some gossip. This is a ticket only event priced at £35 for general admission and VIP tickets costing £55. E-tickets can be purchased on www.poisonuk.com or by contacting the PoisonUK Hotline on +44(0) 20 7193 5859. PUK Card Holders can get 10% off the
