Guyana lifts ban on Jamaican Dancehall artist Movado.Posted: 6th Sep 2009 Jamaican officials have talked and persuaded Guyanese officials in lifting the ban on David Brooks popularly known as Mavado. Mavado was originally banned back in April 2008, from performing in Guyana for a year and a half because of lyrics promoting gang violence and anti gay opinions but it was also reported it was due to security risks. Mavado will now be allowed to perform this month, which has already been scheduled for September the 18th and 19th. Written By Nadia Auckburally
